When Harriet Oleson’s niece Kate (Anne Archer, who played Michael Douglas’ wife in Fatal Attraction) comes to visit Walnut Grove, she and the much older Doc Baker fall in love fast. Participate in interactive workshops that offer insights into frontier life, historical context, and the production of the show. Plus, exclusive screenings will be available for attendees to relive the show’s most memorable moments.

VIP Experience tickets cost $200 for adults and $100 for children aged 5-12. Alison is a stand-up comedian who often references her time on the show during her acts. She's hilarious, which isn't hard to understand given that her character on Little House on the Prairie had so much spunk to her.

Tour The Set

The books were made into a television series that aired from 1974 to 1983, becoming one of the most popular and timeless shows of all time. Meanwhile, Ali, now 45, appeared in films and on television shows, securing a recurring regular role on The Young and the Restless from 2007 to 2013. Everybody Hates Chris marked the start of Imani Hakim's acting career in 2005, when she was just 12 years old. The rookie star played little sister Tonya throughout the show's four-year run. It’s the Ingalls family origin story and shows the immediate challenges they face as soon as they settle on the banks of Plum Creek, just outside Walnut Grove. Ellin believes it’s also where you get first examples of how kind, tough, and hard-working the family was.

Storyline

The man she married, Almanzo Wilder, was also portrayed on the television show. Dean Butler joined the show in its sixth season, and he told the Daily Planet that being cast as Laura Ingalls' future husband was an incredible opportunity. He said that one of the things about being on the show was that there was very little pressure on him to make sure things went well. She went blind at 15, but somehow handled it all gracefully while looking impossibly pretty the whole time.

Movies & TV

Sadly, he passed away in 1991 from pancreatic cancer but helped to bring awareness to the disease before he died. Nels and his wife Harriet were known for having a love/hate relationship, sometimes on display for shoppers at their store, Oleson's Mercantile. Nels was a staple character on the show, staying on all nine seasons and the post-show TV films.

For many, Melissa Gilbert was the darling of "Little House on the Prairie." Viewers fell in love with Gilbert's portrayal of a precocious Laura Ingalls, and eventually Laura Ingalls Wilder. However, Gilbert has since shared that while her life on the show seemed to be picture-perfect and serene, the reality of what she experienced behind closed doors was anything but. Lewis and Martha travelled to the United States and began their new life near Boston, Massachusetts, becoming the first of Laura's ancestors to immigrate to America. Because of its historical context and its connection to the book series, it is deemed acceptable for use by the FCC to meet federal E/I programming guidelines.

Grassle kept on acting here and there over the years after the show ended. In fact, her IMDb page reveals that she recently completed 2021's "Not to Forget." However, Grassle admitted to Closer Weekly that she was typecast for a bit after the show's conclusion, so she put her energy elsewhere. When she left the show, Anderson had her sights set on getting work in feature films.

Rachel Lindsay met her husband, Danny Sanchez, on the Little House on the Prairie set. He lived nearby and would sneak onto the set to hang out with the rest of the cast and crew.

When Gilbert released her memoir "Prairie Tale" in 2009, many were stunned to hear about a life that wasn't as rosy as it seemed. In the book, she describes her time on the set of the show as "a fantasy where I was a happy-go-lucky kid with a larger-than-life surrogate father in Michael Landon" (per Today). Bateman's career grew in the 1980s with sitcoms like Silver Spoons, It's Your Move, and The Hogan Family. In 2003, he landed the role of Michael Bluth on Arrested Development, earning two Emmy nominations. He has also ventured into drama, starring as Marty Byrde on the crime drama Ozark and directing nine episodes. In 2019, he won an Emmy Award for outstanding directing for a drama series for his work on the episode "Reparations."

These days, Kyle Richards is best known as a reality TV star, but she actually got her start on "Little House on the Prairie" when she was cast as Alicia Sanderson Edwards. While Richards hasn't given too many interviews about her time on the show, she has seemed happy enough to have it referenced here and there. In 2016, Richards even hosted a 17-episode "Little House" marathon on COZI TV, and had all positive things to say when NBC asked how she felt after being asked to host the marathon. She said, "I was really excited. It was such a fun show to be a part of."

Visitors can also take an exclusive on-location tour of Big Sky Ranch, the actual filming location of Little House on the Prairie, and many other movies and shows, including Gunsmoke, Highway to Heaven, and Father Murphy. This March, you can get up close and personal with meticulously recreated Little House set facades, including the famous Ingalls house and Oleson’s Mercantile. Knowledgeable guides will share behind-the-scenes stories of the show’s creation, offering insights into set design, props, costume recreations, and original artifacts from the show. Get ready for the ultimate celebration of your favorite television series. The Little House on the Prairie 50th Anniversary Cast Reunion & Festival is a once-in-a-lifetime event taking place March 22, 23, and 24, 2024 in Simi Valley, California where the original TV series was filmed. Among those who have left a lasting impact on Gilbert is the late Michael Landon, who not only played Ingalls patriarch Charles, a.k.a. "Pa," but also produced the series as well as directed and wrote many episodes.

In fact, Today notes that she even missed filming the show's final episode because she was out of the country on a religious journey. While he might have played the somewhat unhappily married Nels Oleson on "Little House on the Prairie" for the show's entire run, it turns out Richard Bull was quite happily married in real life. Bull's character was generally seen as quite patient, especially as he was often overrun by his wife, Harriet, and daughter Nellie.

The show is typically stripped (run five days a week) in syndication, which is enough to completely cover a TV station's E/I requirements and more. Other notable roles include Lindsey in Halloween and Nurse Dori Kerns in ER. Since 2010, she’s been a main cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, alongside her sisters, Kim Richards and Kathy Hilton. Doherty has openly shared her experience of living with breast cancer since her initial diagnosis in 2015. She spoke with PEOPLE in a November 2023 cover story, revealing that the Stage 4 cancer has spread to her bones.

The first three seasons of the old sets notably are also missing closed captioning. The son of actor Ted French, he gained recognition as an actor and stuntman in TV and film westerns like Gunsmoke and Bonanza. For five seasons, he starred as Mark Gordon, a retired police officer, and also directed 12 episodes. On March 30, 1974, the pilot episode of Little House on the Prairie premiered, showcasing the lives of people in the American Midwest in the late 1800s.

In essence, it’s a discipline that combines artistry and science to create spaces that are not only aesthetically appealing but also functional, safe, and conducive to the activities for which they are designed.

Once the construction documents are sent over, contractors usually have around three weeks to develop a bid to present. The main factor that is considered when hiring a contractor is the cost, but quality and experience are also important. This step is only applicable to architecture firms that aren’t building the project themselves. This is necessary to safeguard architects, builders, and property owners from possibly dangerous mistakes in construction.

At the initial sit-down, they learn about the client’s preferences, budget, ideal timeline, and anything else that may affect the project. As the work progresses, the architect will get regular updates from the project management team and share those with the clients which means—you guessed it—even more meetings. To create successful and meaningful designs, a good architect must balance technical expertise with a holistic understanding of the project’s context, client requirements, and societal impact. Attention is also given to the placement of handrails, non-slip surfaces, and proper lighting to enhance safety and assist navigation. Sustainable architecture encourages the integration of passive design strategies, such as optimizing natural lighting and ventilation, to reduce the need for artificial lighting and mechanical cooling or heating.

Instead, architects are increasingly blending styles, using advanced technologies and materials to create structures that address sustainability, social, and urban context concerns. Early societies crafted structures primarily for utilitarian purposes, using available materials such as stones, wood, and animal skins. Notable examples include the Neolithic longhouses of Europe, the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the ziggurats of Mesopotamia, and the intricate urban planning of the Indus Valley Civilization.

Furthermore, they could be used to optimize designs for factors such as energy efficiency, structural integrity, and user comfort. VR and AR technologies are changing the way architects visualize and present their designs.

They also consider materials’ visual and tactile qualities, such as their texture, color, and transparency, to create a desired sensory experience and visual impact. 9 Best Water Filters of 2024, Tested & Reviewed by Experts

The Aquasana AQ-5200 is ANSI/NSF-certified to virtually eliminate a wide array of contaminants, including lead, mercury, pesticides, microplastics, pharmaceuticals, and other materials that few of its competitors catch. And it’s one of a handful of filters certified for PFOA and PFOS, two of the so-called forever chemicals  that are of concern to the EPA. Same great certifications as and higher flow rate and filter capacity than the AQ-5200, plus a prefilter to help with rusty sediment. Get healthier, great-tasting water from every tap in your home with a whole house water filtration system. Commerce editors Taylor Rock and Fran Sales researched and contributed to this piece, as did Katya Weiss-Andersson, a writer and editor who has nearly a decade of experience as a professional chef.

A Reliable System That Can Filter Out Nearly 80 Contaminants

Water filtration systems work by using physical barriers or chemical processes to remove unwanted particles, microorganisms, and dissolved contaminants from the water. Most systems contain filters or cartridges filled with filtering media, such as activated carbon or other materials, that can trap contaminants as the water passes through the filter. In addition to the filter or cartridge, many systems also contain a sediment pre-filter to reduce larger particles in the incoming water.

Q. Do I need a whole-house water filter?

If the sink is shallow, for instance, getting a glass beneath the spout can be difficult if anything else is sitting in the basin. With 71 ANSI/NSF certifications, the Pur Advanced system is the top-performing faucet-mounted filter available. We also considered a filter’s maintenance requirements when shortlisting the filters for this guide. We know that most folks would prefer to keep maintenance to a minimum, so we looked specifically for filters that made maintenance as simple as possible. We’re planning to do a before-and-after water test for contaminants soon, and we’ll update this review when we have.

GE High Flow Water Filtration System

We aim to offer unbeatable value by providing high-quality residential water filtration, ensuring a remarkable upgrade to your household’s water supply. When it comes to water filtration systems, ease of maintenance is just as important as the simplicity of installation. Regular maintenance, such as filter replacements, component cleaning, and system checks (if required) are crucial. To avoid frequent filter changes and costly professional assistance, opt for affordable and simple filter replacements. Crystal Quest offers a selection of water treatment solutions including pitchers, countertop, faucet-mounted, under-sink, reverse osmosis, and whole-house water filter systems. Water-and-ice dispensers are common on French door, bottom-freezer, and side-by-side refrigerators.

It’s not as widely available as any of these, but if you see one at a competitive price and if you know you have high sediment in your pipes, it’s a solid choice. Along with activated carbon and an ion-exchange resin, which are common to most if not all under-sink filters, Aquasana uses two additional filter technologies to achieve its certifications. For chloramine, it adds catalytic carbon, a more porous—and therefore more reactive—form of activated carbon produced by treating the carbon with high-temperature gas. For cryptosporidium and giardia, Aquasana manufactures its filters in such a way that the pore size is reduced to 0.5 micron, which is small enough to physically capture them. Installs without drilling and delivers up to 1.5 gallons of filtered water per minute through your existing faucet.

The best filtration system for city water is the one that removes what the city doesn’t address and the elements it uses to combat more damaging pollutants. Systems that include the ability to soften water were rated slightly higher than their competitors. While the initial investment and ongoing maintenance costs can be significant, the benefits of improved water quality, health protection, appliance preservation and environmental sustainability may outweigh these expenses for certain households. Ultimately, the decision hinges on your specific water quality issues, priorities and long-term household needs.

Reasons to Get a Whole House Water Filter System

This ensures that the water is properly filtered, but that it’s also treated with salt molecules, which bind to hard metals and render them inert. Removing these minerals from hard water is integral to maintaining the durability of the pipes, faucets, and hot water tank. Users who don’t want to add salt to their whole-house filter system can get a salt-free softener that coats the hard metal particles to prevent them from sticking to the plumbing infrastructure. There are a variety of filter types for whole-house systems, including 1-stage, 2-stage, or 3-stage cartridge-based filters, and reverse osmosis systems.

Clearly Filtered Water Pitcher

Some systems call for professional installation, whereas others can be easily set up by homeowners. You'll also need ample space around the unit for proper operation and servicing. Beware of obstructions, such as tight plumbing and piping behind walls, that could impair access and serviceability. When choosing a residential water filtration system, it's important to review the specifications and confirm the available sizes and capacity.

Below, we’ve discussed our methodology, including the factors we considered when deciding. This a long-lasting, low-maintenance whole home carbon system can filter 600,000-1,000, 000 gallons of water over approximately five years. It costs around 20% less than the SpringWell CF and is only slightly more expensive than the Kind cartridge-based system on this list – impressive, given that it requires less maintenance thanks to its long-lasting media. If you’re familiar with plumbing, you’ll be able to install the SpringWell whole house water filter system yourself. We were up for the task – it took us just under an hour from start to finish, but for the less experienced, the job will likely take around 2-3 hours.

In my reporting, I’ve spoken at length with filter-certification organizations to understand how their testing is conducted, and delved deeply into their public databases to confirm that manufacturers’ claims are supported by certified testing. I’ve also spoken with representatives of multiple water-filter manufacturers, including Aquasana/A.O. And I’ve gone hands-on with all of our picks, because overall livability, durability, and user-friendliness are important in a device you’ll use multiple times a day. "NSF certifies filters that remove bacteria under a standard called P231," says Andrew, but those tend to be designed for activities like camping, when you may need to drink water from a stream.

A whole house water filtration system is a type of water filter that connects to a home’s main water line to provide filtered water from every faucet in the home including sinks, showers, bathtubs. Water from a public municipality or private well comes in and is filtered to remove contaminants such as lead, chlorine, pesticides, and more. After contaminants are removed at the main water line, it proceeds to freely flow through your home’s pipes so any water you use is filtered.

Here’s a side-by-side comparison of water test results before the CF1 was installed and after. Whole house filters cost anywhere from $80, like our pick for best budget, the GE Whole House Water Filtration System. Others, however, like the Aquasana Whole House Well Water Filter System, can cost a couple thousand dollars. Good Housekeeping participates in various affiliate marketing programs, which means we may get paid commissions on editorially chosen products purchased through our links to retailer sites.

The iSpring Whole House Water Filtration System provides exceptional filtration and is backed by an excellent warranty and outstanding customer support, making it a reliable investment for your home. This model comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, a one-year warranty, an extended warranty upon registration, and lifetime technical support. In the first stage, a five-micron sediment filter removes impurities such as dirt, sand, silt, dust, rust, and scale. In the second stage, the CTO filter eliminates over 90% of unpleasant tastes, odors, and hazardous VOCs like pesticides and industrial solvents. If you’re looking for easy installation, these are a good choice for filtering drinking and cooking water.

More days means more to discover, with extension packages you can add before or after your Viking cruise or cruisetour. Enjoy additional days to explore your embarkation or disembarkation city, or see a new destination altogether with a choice of exciting cities.Pre & Post Cruise Extensions vary by itinerary and are subject to change.

The two are not tied to one another and do not have the same exchange rate, so make sure you understand the value of each before traveling. Each itinerary features one to two “formal” nights that we call Evening Chic. In Norwegian, the word “fjord” means “where one fares through,” and that’s exactly what you’ll do on a cruise through these beautiful bodies of water.

If you’re looking for a more luxurious experience that pulls out all the stops, this twice-daily tour with Fair Winds is it! Leaving Keauhou Bay, guests will set sail on board a large boat with two waterslides and a high dive to enjoy once they reach their destination. The boat makes its way to Kealakekua Bay where it puts down anchor for over an hour of beautiful snorkeling.

What’s the best time of day to go on a Captain Cook Snorkeling Tour?

It now consists of a collection of rocks and, while not great for hanging out, it is reasonable for a quick swim and a good place for snorkeling. We are conveniently located within a 30-minute drive from Captain Cook, Kealakekua Bay, Honaunau Bay and Keauhou Bay, Hawaii. The morning snorkel includes all snorkeling equipment and snorkeling instruction for beginners.

Explore Kona Coast on Sea Quest Hawaii

There is a large lawn and a ‘point’ that extends into the bay from which you have a great view of the setting sun. You can either bring your own gear or to join a diving tour that handles all logistics for you, see our scuba diving guide for more information. The bay’s best diving however is on the (more protected) other side of the bay, in Ka‘awaloa Cove (near the monument). Water depths here range from about 5 to 120 feet and the diversity of coral and fish is exceptional. Tours operators that follow the Sustainable Tourism Association of Hawai’i (more info) guidelines are e.g. Sea Paradise and Fair-Wind (both departing from Keauhou Bay).

Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park (and Napoʻopoʻo Beach Park)

Whether that is venturing to the most popular snorkel spots on Kona Coast or exploring hidden lava tubes, sea caves, and reefs. That is the luxury that a smaller boat and guest list provides for our valued customers. We provide a memorable experience during your time with us– both aboard the boat and in the water.

To get to the bay you need to get to take the Nāpō‘opo‘o turn off onto Nāpō’opo’o Road, which intersects with Highway 11 near the 111 mile marker, about 13 miles (20 km) south of Kona. Interactions between wild animals (dolphins) and humans are almost always disadvantageous for the animals but there are ways to mitigate our impact. The most important thing you can do is respecting the resting behaviors of the spinner dolphins during their peak resting period between ~10.00 and ~14.00. If you don’t happen to have these, you’ll have to re-enter your kayak from deep water or pull it behind you while you’re snorkeling. You can look forward to spotting Hawaii’s state fish, the humuhumunukunukuapua’a, and keep your eyes peeled for pods of spinner dolphins, Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, and humpback whales (seasonally). Boat tours are the easiest way to go snorkeling at Kealakekua bay. Join us for a private charter around the beautiful coast of Kona, HI. We ensure your group has an amazing time regardless of age or skill level. In a 30-minute call we help you set up the trip of your dreams. Also known as the ‘place of refuge’ or ‘city of refuge’, this park originally was a safe haven for those that broke the Kapu laws, which, in ancient Hawaii were punishable by death. If you reached the Puʻuhonua, you would be pardoned and given a second chance at life.

Big Island Wayfinder Itinerary

Of the two, we generally prefer the morning tour because it’s longer and there’s a better chance for good visibility before the tradewinds kick up. South of Kona the landscape becomes greener and the skies more cloudy. The dry lava fields change into lush green forests and coffee plantations and there are many great snorkeling and diving spots along the coast, plenty of scenic stops, and also a fantastic national park. The easiest way to visit Kealakekua Bay for snorkeling or diving is as part of one of the many snorkel tours to the Captain Cook Monument. The morning cruise includes breakfast and lunch and gives you an extra 1-hour of snorkel time.

There will always be one crew member on board at all times, so it is advised that you keep your belongings with you rather then leaving them in your car. The best opportunity to see whales is between late December and late March when the Humpback Whales migrate to Hawaii from Alaska. You may have the chance to see whales during your cruise if you are coming to Hawaii during wintertime. PROBABLY — Most, if not all, cell providers work on the Big Island. However, be prepared for some dead spots in the more remote parts of the island.

Some of the best snorkeling footage we’ve ever gotten was at Kealakekua Bay. So, what should you pack for a Captain Cook snorkeling tour? Two different tours are offered on a daily basis, the “Beat the Crowd Tour” and the “Morning Tour”. We prefer the “Beat the Crowd Tour” because it includes a deli lunch and is a bit longer at five hours versus four hours. The timing of both tours is great as it ensures that guests make it back just after lunch for more exploring or right before dinner. Small group size, awesome history, and a wonderful price point make this tour with Hawaii Oceanic a no-brainer if you aren’t worried about frills but still want a great experience.

Snorkel conditions are very similar, however, it is more likely to have clear skies in the morning. Afternoons in Kealakekua Bay are generally absent from other tour boat operators, proving a less crowded experience. The Fair Wind II is perfect for snorkeling, sightseeing, and enjoying the calm, cerulean blue waters of historic Kealakekua Bay, where the Captain Cook Monument is located. The boat has fun water activities including boogie boards with windows, custom view-boxes, and inner tubes. The step-by-step itinerary takes you to all the best beaches, snorkeling spots, restaurants, and sights.

Add to the beauty, the fact that it has some of the most sordid, history in all of Hawaii, this makes for one of the most epic spots on the big island of Hawaii and in the entire state of Hawaii. By Taking a Captain Cook snorkel cruise you are able to see the bay and learn about it’s history in comfort while getting up-close and personal with Hawaii’s majestic Kealakukua Bay. This Captain Cook snorkel cruise is suitable for ages 3+ and can be private chartered to take a group of friends, family, or just you and your significant other for a proposal cruise etc.

You'll also be given breakfast in the morning and lunch after your snorkel. Some boat rides are not recommended for pregnant women who are advanced in their pregnancy. While snorkeling is a pretty easy water activity, there are still precautions some people should make before booking a tour.

You’ll depart Honokohau Marina in the morning and cruise along the coast in search of marine life. Along the way you’ll stop to check out some historical sights and some geologic features unique to the Kona coastline. The best snorkeling spot, however, is on the opposite side of the bay from the parking area, in front of the Ka’awaloa Flats (where the Captain Cook monument is located). There is no parking anywhere near the best snorkeling waters though, so you have to jump through some proverbial hoops to get to where you want to be.

No “drive time” from Kona, start your tour at Kealakekua Bay and be one of the first people in the Bay. Ehu and Kai provides the muscle (no paddling for you) and history narration while you enjoy riding in a traditional outrigger canoe. I wanted to let you know that we just returned from 17 days is Hawaii and your information was our go to. We read your newsletters, watched your videos and ordered itineraries for the two  islands we spent the most time on. This helped us plan our days and ensured we saw great sights we otherwise would never have known to stop. We referred to the guides often so saving it in files on my phone was perfect.

Body Glove cruises (departing from Kailua-Kona) organizes dinner cruises to the bay without the possibility of snorkeling. Kealakekua Bay is one of the best places in the entire state for snorkeling. Fish are plentiful, colorful and swarm over a well-developed reef that slopes steeply from the shore into the nearby deep water, making it easy to see different kinds of reef in a relatively short time. For Big Island hotels, Booking.com is amazing because you can often reserve your room with no money down. The trip out to the snorkel destinations are almost as fun as your time in the ocean! Learn everything that our knowledgeable captain and crew have to share about the Big Island and the marine life that inhabits its reefs. As the day presses on and the wind picks up you’ll appreciate the size and stability of this large sailing catamaran. With its wide hull and spacious deck you can lounge in style while sailing the ocean blue, skipping across the small wind chop in style. Sit forward over the water lounging in the sun with a cocktail in hand.

To get to the bay you need to get to take the Nāpō‘opo‘o turn off onto Nāpō’opo’o Road, which intersects with Highway 11 near the 111 mile marker, about 13 miles (20 km) south of Kona. Jewelry – if you are wearing special rings, necklaces, bracelets, or any other form of adornment you might want to consider leaving them in the hotel room. Necklaces or bracelets could get caught on snorkel gear or boat things and get torn off. You aren’t dressing up for the fishes, they don’t care about your bling, so if you don’t want to risk losing a treasured item, take them off before the tour. The vessel is on a rigid hull inflatable (RHIBS) which gives you a more intimate tour and gets you to Kealakekua Bay fast, which means you waste no time getting to snorkeling sooner than on a slower boat.

There is a large lawn and a ‘point’ that extends into the bay from which you have a great view of the setting sun. You can either bring your own gear or to join a diving tour that handles all logistics for you, see our scuba diving guide for more information. The Ka’awaloa Trail is fairly strenuous as it’s just shy of 4 miles long round-trip and steep. Be sure to keep in mind that while it might seem like a breeze on the way down to the bay, the trail is all uphill on the hike back. Many hikers opt to wear sturdy hiking boots down to the beach due to the rocky nature of the trail. These designated areas protect Hawaii’s diverse fish populations, along with other endangered marine life, ensuring that they continue to thrive for decades to come.

High-quality snorkeling gear and floatation devices are provided, which can help you avoid touching the reef! Keep in mind that there is no shade or bathrooms on this tour which might be a dealbreaker for some visitors.. Morning tour prices are $177 for adults, $110 for children (ages 4-12), and $45 for toddlers (ages 0-3). Afternoon tours are around $129 for adults, $78 for children (ages 4-12), and $29 for toddlers (ages 0-3).

Kealakekua Bay is a 315-acre Marine Life Conservation District with about 180-acres designated as a State Historic Park along the Kona coast. Snorkeling is allowed but because it’s protected, fishing is kapu, forbidden. Boating vessels from catamarans to single kayaks need a permit to sail these waters as well. If you can be one of the first boats out in the morning there will be less boat traffic because there won’t be the crossing of tours ending as new ones come in. The best time of day to take a Captain Cook snorkel tour is as early as possible, for a few reasons.

Kealakekua Bay holds such an array of sealife, you never know what you might see. From here the course of events get muddled but there were altercations between Captain Cook, his crew, and the Hawaiians. Lifeboats were stolen, the Hawaiian chief was taken hostage, and miscommunications all resulted in Captain Cook getting shot and dying at Kealakekua Bay.
